Royal Doulton
Royal Doulton is a household name with extensive production of hand decorated earthenware from the 1930s appealing to the masses, notably designs from the Frank Brangwyn range, which was a collaboration with Charles Noke.
The initial Art Pottery was established in Lambeth, Staffordshire by Henry Doulton. Production was moved to Burslem and distinguished designers employed, such as George Tinworth. Figure production was introduced and it is these with a particular Art Deco feel that are very collectible today. Royal Doulton’s Art Deco and Art Nouveau vases are also particularly collectable with notable designers and decorators being Frank Butler, Bessie Newbery, Florrie Jones, Ethel Beard, Charles Noke, Harry Nixon and William Rowe.

The company is still one of the foremost producers of collectables and tableware using brand names such as Royal Albert, Royal Doulton and Minton.
