LILLIPUT LANE MORETON STORES - NEW FOR 2008! With its decorative Flemish bond brickwork and gabled thatched roof of combed wheat, the charming MORETON STORES, is arguably the most distinctive building in the village of Moreton, Dorset. However, it is a more humble cottage that attracts most attention in the village, and has done since the 1930s. To many, Moreton is synonymous with T E Lawrence, (a.k.a Laurence of Arabia) who owned a cottage in the village. He died tragically after crashing his motorbike and was buried here in 1935. His cottage, Clouds Hill, is now owned by the National Trust and has been preserved exactly as he left it on that fateful day! This item is new and in its original box, with its descriptive deeds. 7.5 cm High (2.9 ins) 7.5 cm Wide (2.9 ins) 7 cm Deep (2.7 ins) |
